Myra sajid biography

Sajid Zaki, popularly known as Myra Sajid, is a playwright, dramatist, and scriptwriter based in Lahore, Pakistan. He was born on 10 June, 1975 in Lahore, Pakistan, in a middle-class family with parents Muhammad Zaki and Naeema Akhter. His father used to work as a shoemaker. He studied Bachelor's in Commerce and after graduation, he did a two-year diploma course in Sculpture and one one-year diploma course in Multimedia And 3D Animation. He got married to Myra Asad in October 2009, who encouraged him to pursue writing and Sajid started writing scripts for TV dramas with the pseudonym Myra Sajid. 

Sajid started his professional career as an animator and editor in 2001 at the TV2 Production House, Lahore, where he also started producing and directing music videos. In 2004, he got associated with Geo TV as an associate creative manager where he collaborated with the president of Geo TV Imran Aslam, Tariq Jameel, Ayub Khawer, and many other talented and senior professionals, which indirectly polished him and boosted his career. Thereafter, Sajid left Geo TV in 2007 and started working with Ahson Talish as creative director. He made a couple of TV serials, telefilms, single plays, and series during this period. For instance, he worked on various episodes of a drama serial called Neeli Chatri which aired on ARY Digital in 2010. He gained popularity with the serial Khuda Zameen Se Gaya Nahin, which aired in 2009 on Hum TV and PTV and won a Lux Award for Best Serial. As a writer, he made his debut with Aik Se Buray Do Telefilm released in 2013. 

Over the years, Sajid has shown his considerable skills and talent on private TV channels, such as Hum TV, Geo TV, ARY Digital, ATV, and others. He has worked on several projects ranging from documentaries to music videos and switched roles as creative manager, creative director, director, writer, and producer.
