Seyran saroyan biography sample
After being beaten and horribly tortured in Etchmiadzin on March 13th, 23 year-old Sepuh Karapetyan died. His only ‘crime’ was that he dared to defend one of the neighborhood girls from the person who had been bullying her around. That person was Zarzand Saroyan, the son of Seyran Saroyan who is an Army General and a member of the National Assembly.
There are two big criminals in Ejmiadzin, and everybody knows them by name: Manvel Grigoryan and Seyran Saroyan. The extract above is from this Hetq article. At the moment there is lots of speculation about punishment for Manvel Grigoryan, for supporting Levon Ter-Petrossian. This will definately be a politically motivated development, however, I can’t say I’m sorry for having one criminal less among senior positions in the Armenian military. Questions remain however, why is it, that only Levon Ter-Petrossian supporters are being punished (criminal or not), while many other criminals are enjoying their freedom and terrorising fellow Armenians. Another great example is the son of Gyumri mayor, who took part in the famous drive-by shootout in Gyumri last Spring, was put in jail, but was promptly released after the Presidential elections, apparently due to the great “services” of the mayor to the Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan during the elections.

The Armenian Army is 30 Years Old
The Armenian Army, which was born with the independence of Armenia, became one of the glorious achievements of our statehood in 1992, during the most difficult period for the country. Today, the Armenian Armed Forces, transformed into a regular and efficient army from the small number of volunteer brigades fighting against the enemy in the First Artsakh War, is celebrating its 30 anniversary.
The Armenian Army has confirmed the importance of its existence through many glorious actions. And the two Artsakh wars showed that the endurance of our soldiers and the courageous force to fight to the end against the enemy are the result of patriotism, high consciousness, strength and fighting efficiency. Our heroes constantly defend the borders of the country, ensuring the peaceful existence of the Armenian people.
The Homeland Defense Forces have replenished and continue to replenish many ASUE students, graduates, who have always shone with vivid examples of individual courage, fighting, orientating correctly in difficult conditions. Unfortunately, we have lost many of our heroes in the brutal battles. Many of our heroes have been crowned with eternal glory, the others were wounded in cruel battles, a part of them have returned and are next to us now. The Homeland will never forget its heroes. You must be the creators of the brilliant history of the Homeland, you should enlighten and glorify the Armenian people again.
Let us live with dignity, let us live being grateful to our brave soldiers, let us live so that the souls of our heroes are at peace in heaven, let us live with the faith that the spring of our long-suffering nation is still ahead.
Glory and honor to our ARMY!
Recently the European Movement Organization awarded Mr. Tigran Torosyan, Vice-President of the RPA and President of the National Assembly, the prize - Best European of the Year. It is worth to mention that last year the search of the Armenian bureaucrat of the European model of the above-mentioned organization settled on Mr. Arthur Baghdasaryan. Anyway, we decided with Mr. Tigran Torosyan not to speak about his image of European but about pre-electoral developments.
“Mr. Torosyan, recently during the meeting with the journalists, you assured that you don’t expect excesses after the elections. But after the previous parliamentary elections especially the ARF Dashnaktsutyun blamed the RPA in embezzlement of its votes as well as in riggings. The sides offended each other, up to “Courtesan”, “The Courtesan are you”. Don’t you think that such accusations will present not only the ARF Dashnaktsutyun and the opposition but also the Bargavach Hayastan/Prosperous Armenia party?”
“I don’t think so as a great number of observers will be present during these elections, and it is much more important not the statements of this or that party but the conclusion of impartial bodies. And if the parties make a statement they should substantiate it with facts. Otherwise, it will be considered as idle talks. I hope that the parties became enough mature during these four years to substantiate their enquiries with facts.”
“In this sense, perhaps, the Prosperous Armenia party/PAP is more active as it has tried to defend its rights in the court several times.”
“What relates to the Prosperous Armenia party and the elections of the mayor of Armavir I think it is a very good example that shows that it is possible to held normal elections in Armenia irrespective of the fact who compete during those elections. In this case the RPA and the PAP compete for the post of the mayor of Armavir with their representatives, but not directly. After publishing the results of the elections the PAP con
