Nicole Scherzinger on her break-up with Lewis Hamilton
Lewis Hamilton has challenged his teammate Valtteri Bottas to prove his championship credentials after the rival got off to a strong start this F1 season.
Both Hamilton and Bottas have won two races each, but the latter leads the standings after his fastest lap at the opening round in Australia.
However, while Bottas was quick off the blocks at the start of the season, Hamilton typically picks up steam towards the end - sparking doubts Valterri will be able to last the course of the 21-round season.
Hamilton said: “Winning the championship is not just about winning a couple of races.
“It is about the whole season. It will be interesting to see how he goes in the harder conditions. We’ve only had four races so watch this space.”

Jodie now lives in Hong Kong where she works as a hotel reception Martin Brundle believes Lewis Hamilton will be classed alongside his boyhood hero Ayrton Senna in the pantheon of all-time Formula One greats should he claim his third world championship. Hamilton enters the new campaign, which gets underway in Australia on Sunday, as the favourite to defend the crown he clinched so dramatically at the season finale in Abu Dhabi last year. Speaking at Mercedes headquarters in Brackley last week, Hamilton spoke of his motivation to emulate Senna by winning a third world title. 'If Lewis had finished his career with one championship it would have been a travesty, but if he wins a third he is up there with Sir Jackie Stewart and Ayrton Senna', said Brundle, a veteran of 156 grands prix. 'He becomes one of the all-time greats.' Hamilton and team-mate Nico Rosberg are expected to renew their battle for the championship with Mercedes the class of the field in pre-season testing. The Silver Arrows, winners of 16 of the 19 races last year, boasted more mileage than any of their rivals over the winter, with the apparent pace to match. Hamilton has come in for much media criticism in 2008 for his off-track activities [see separate story - click here], with a pertinent example coming last Sunday when the News of the World quoted Miss World contestant Vivian Burkhardt as having slated the Stevenage-born star for dumping her - just two days after being seen with her at the Cannes Film Festival - in favour of Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Indeed, in the wake of his disastrous performance in the French Grand Prix at Magny-Cours last time out, Hamilton initially refused to speak to the waiting press, prompting Brundle - himself a former McLaren driver - to write in his regular Sunday Times column that his countryman is 'misguided' in 'waging a war with the media'. "That's a battle he will lose horribly," the 49-year old stressed. "[The press] will work with you, but it's reciprocal, and they are better friends than enemies. "An angry driver will always drive like Lewis did in Magny-Cours, over-aggressively bouncing off the kerbs and sliding around grabbing half-chances to overtake. "Mega-stardom needs to be put on hold for now, with total focus on this critical and busy mid-season phase." Hamilton himself, for his part, has acknowledged that he is concerned about his deteriorating relationship with the press, and the consequent negative reports that are going to print - a far cry from the media love-in he enjoyed over the course of his sensational maiden campaign in the top flight last year. "Whatever has been said in the papers, I just hope that they aren't throwing vegetables at me because of what's happened in the last few races," the 23-year old told the Sunday Times, when asked about what kind of welc F1 drivers spend a lot of time travelling the world, and some of them do so with friends, family or loved ones. As a result, the other halves of the drivers are often seen around the paddock cheering on as part of those in the corner of each driver. Here is a look at who each of the F1 drivers on the 2025 grid is known to be dating, who they have been linked with, or whether they are single. Max Verstappen Max Verstappen is currently with the daughter of three-time World Champion Nelson Piquet, Brazilian model and influencer Kelly Piquet.
