  • GREG PAGE AM, was born in Sydney, Australia on January 16th, 1972. He is most well-known for his role in the children's entertainment phenomenon, The Wiggles. Greg was raised with a keen love of music, and this developed over the years into a passion. Another passion which also took hold of Greg was that of educating children. When he attended Sydney's Macquarie University to study Early Childhood Education, he teamed up with fellow students Anthony Field and Murray Cook to form what would become one of the World's largest children's entertainment brands.

As a founding member of The Wiggles (1991), Greg travelled all over the world to entertain children in live concerts as well as recording well over 20 CDs and 22 DVDs with the group, combined sales of over 17 million CDs and DVDs and performances to more than 4 million people.

In November 2006, Greg retired from performing with the Wiggles and their heavy touring schedule. He was diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance, a condition of the autonomic nervous system which regulates aspects of the body's functioning which we don't have to think about such as blood pressure, breathing, sweating, and heart rate.

Since retiring from the group, Greg has enjoyed new challenges in life, and has been awarded an Order of Australia by the Australian Governor General for his services to the arts, in particular, children's entertainment, and to a variety of charities.

Greg enjoys listening to music (mostly Elvis and Neil Diamond but enjoys a lot of styles), playing cricket, researching computer technologies, and documentaries and books about ancient history. He enjoys reading about religion, philosophy and spirituality, and has developed a very keen interest in learning more about life and the universe. He now practices meditation which he finds very useful for centering his life around those he loves.

In June, 2011, Greg released his autobiography, Now and Then, written with assistance from Neil Cadigan.  It addre

    Greg Page[]

Greg Page had experienced health difficulties since December 2005, when he underwent a double hernia operation. He withdrew from his group's U.S. tour in August 2006 after suffering repeated fainting spells, slurred speech, fatigue, and trembling. Although Page was for virtually all of The Wiggles' late 2006 U.S. tour, audiences were informed of Page's absence at concerts moments before the curtain went up.

At first, Page was told that he had seven years to live, but he was diagnosed with a non-life-threatening form of dysautonomia, a difficult-to-diagnose chronic illness. Page experienced symptoms such as orthostatic intolerance, fatigue and loss of balance. Specialists believed that Page had mild episodes of the illness going back twelve years and that his symptoms worsened after his hernias. It was decided that Page would retire from performing with the Wiggles to manage his health better. As part owner of the Wiggles, Page received a payout of about $20 million for his share in the business.

Page was succeeded by Sam Moran as a full member of the entertainment side of the group (although still an employee rather than a partner in its business side).

On 17 January 2020, Page suffered a cardiac arrest at a Wiggles reunion show raising funds for bushfire relief efforts. He collapsed on stage and stopped breathing; off-duty nurse Grace Jones, who was in the audience, performed CPR with Wiggles drummer Steve Pace and band staff member Kimmy Antonelli; they used a defi

    Musical artist

Gregory John Page, AM (born 16 January 1972) is an Australian singer, musician and actor. He is best known as the original lead singer and a founding member of the children's band the Wiggles from 1991 to 2006 and then again in 2012.

Starting with his self-titled debut album, since 1998, Page has recorded several solo albums, his latest, Here Comes Christmas!, being released in 2015. Since the mid 2000s, Page has suffered from severe health problems, which caused his early departure from the Wiggles and brief retirement in 2006; his 2012 album Let It Be Me, began production in 2004, but was postponed due to his health conditions.

Since coming out of retirement in 2009, Page has been performing live on stage again, including a handful of guest appearances with the original members of the Wiggles. After suffering cardiac arrest in 2020, Page has become an advocate for heart health and has founded the charity Heart of the Nation.

Gregory John "Greg" Page is an Australian musician who is known as the leader of The Wiggles. He is the tallest Wiggle out of all of The Wiggles. He was also the youngest wiggle in the original group. In early 2013, he was replaced by Emma Watkins. He was also temporarily replaced by Sam Moran for five years (late 2006 - early 2012) when he retired due to health issues.

    Career[]

Greg performed in several bands in secondary school. He was a roadie for and sang with The Cockroaches during the band's final years. It was during that time that he met Anthony Field, who was a member of The Cockroaches, and on Anthony's recommendation, he enrolled at Macquarie University to study Early Childhood Education. While students, Greg, Anthony, and guitarist Murray Cook, along with former Cockroaches member and keyboardist Jeff Fatt, combined their music backgrounds and teaching skills to form The Wiggles. He was the youngest member of the original line-up, at the age of 19.

He has a sister named Belinda. Influenced by Anthony, he was a fan of Elvis Presley and owned the world's fourth-largest memorabilia collection, before donating a reported $1.5 million worth to a New South Wales museum.

Greg's 2005 solo album, "Taking Care of Country", reflects his interest in Elvis Presley's music. It was recorded with the TCB Band, Elvis Presley' backup band. In Spring 2003, Greg per
