Born in New York on July 8, 1968, Michael spent his childhood in Fairfield, Connecticut, before attending Boston University. After deciding to pursue a career in the performing arts, however, the aspiring actor dropped out of college and began waiting tables in between auditions. In a bid to make ends meet, Michael also busked on the subway.

Michael was born on July 8th, 1968 in New York City. His family then moved to Fairfield, Connecticut, where he spent his childhood. He went on to attend Boston University, Menlo College, and American University before ultimately deciding to leave college and turn his full attention to acting.
Weatherly's acting career took off in 1992 with a small role on The Cosby Show, and he is now best known for his work on the CBS television series Bull as well as NCIS.
In addition to acting, Weatherly has directed and produced television and film projects. His production company, Solar Drive Productions, has created multiple projects for the CW.
Jamaica Man, a documentary film which Weatherly directed, premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in 2017. It stars Nigel Pemberton, a fascinating British ex-pat living in Jamaica.

In 1995 he married actress Amelia Heinle, who appeared with him in The City (1995) and Loving (1983). Unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce in 1997, despite the birth of their son August in 1996. Michael resides in Los Angeles. Michael Weatherly Jr. (born July 8, 1968) is an American television actor, producer, director, and musician, known for playing the roles of Logan Cale in the television series Dark Angel (2000–2002), special agent Anthony DiNozzo in NCIS (2003–2016, 2024), and Dr. Jason Bull in Bull (2016–2022).
Early life
Weatherly was born in New York City and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut. His parents are Patricia (née Hetherington) and Michael Weatherly Sr. He is of Irish descent.
Weatherly attended Fairfield Country Day School and graduated from Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts in 1986. He attended Boston University, Menlo College, American University, and the American University of Paris, but left college to pursue acting.
Career
Weatherly began his acting career with a minor television role on The Cosby Show as Theo Huxtable's roommate. He played the role of Cooper Alden in Loving and later, The City, appearing in the role from 1992 until 1996.
