Fawad Khan was born in Karachi on November 29, 1981, in Sindh. He was from a Pashtun household. While his mother’s family was a native of Lucknow (present-day Uttar Pradesh, India), who migrated to Pakistan following the 1947 split of British India, his father was born in Patiala (present-day Punjab, India). Fawad Khan’s father was in pharmaceutical sales while he was young. Hence, the family had to live in Athens, Dubai, Riyadh, and Manchester during the Gulf War. At 13, his family relocated to Lahore, Punjab.

He has two sisters: younger sister Sana, who is a doctor, and older sister Aliya, who is an architect. He calls Lahore home right now. He experienced racial problems and was ridiculed in an American school, where he was meek, calm, and non-aggressive.

Education

Pakistani hero Fawad Khan passed his A-levels at the Lahore Grammar School, Johar Town (LGS JT). He obtained a bachelor’s degree in software engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (NUCES) in Lahore. He started acting quickly after failing to land a programming career.

Following a seven-year course, Fawad Khan wed Sadaf Khan in 2005. They are parents of three children. His wife started the clothesline Silk by Fawad Khan, whose first collection debuted in August 2012 in Lahore. At age 17, following an event that compromised his pancreas, he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Khan jumped into untreated water and suffered scratches behind a swimming pool.
